As many of you are aware, our Online Store went live this weekend accepting pre-orders for both The Maelstrom Batch #2 (The Northern Lights batch) and Hooligan Soup Irish Whiskey, Batch #1.

We're expecting these spirits to come into port in late June, with the orders to ship sometime in July. Part of the magic of course rests in the unpredictable hands of Mother Nature. Last year Batch #1 of The Maelstrom went onto Lake Michigan in the hot days of July 2022 and on through the incredibly strong winds of last September. The Maelstrom Batch #2 Northern Lights batch, went into the torrent during the cold, gale-force spring this year and is now getting the sustained heat of summer.

The second barreling in premium American white oak casks from Adirondack Barrel Cooperage, the months on Lake Michigan with Kinns Sport Fishing, and the vagaries of weather and temperature on the water, can make charting our course a bit uncertain. And the labor-intensive and hand-crafted process sometimes takes a little longer, yet it's our obsession with getting the uniquely-complex blends just right that drives us on.

Now as we’re readying more batches for early autumn, once again, we are humbled to announce that the allocation to our on-line store is already SOLD OUT.

We are trying to reallocate more and will update that progress in a few weeks, however, we also want to make sure Wisconsin retailers have ample amounts of both brands for this summer and into fall when the next batches arrive to stock up for fall/winter 2023-2024.
